Gonda: The 11th installation ceremony of Rotary Club Gonda Green was held in a grand and dignified setting at Golden Fairy Resort on Lucknow Road. Newly elected President Anil Kumar Mittal and newly elected Secretary Dr. Alok Kumar Agarwal took office during the event.
Both newly-elected office-bearers pledged to advance Rotary’s commitment to service and expand social welfare activities on a broader scale.

Distinguished Guests Honor the Occasion
The chief guest for the event was Kirtivardhan Singh, Union Minister of State for External Affairs and the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change. Special guests included Rotarian Dr. Saurabh Singh, Assistant Zonal Governor for Zone-15 (RID-3120), and Ms. Varsha Singh, Vice-Principal of SLBS Degree College, Gonda.
The dignitaries were welcomed by Rotarians Jyoti Mittal, Shagun Mittal, and Dr. Anju Agarwal with floral bouquets and scarves.
Review of Service Projects
Rotarian Piyush Mittal conducted the program proceedings, while Rotarian Ashok Tripathi presented the welcome address and secretary’s report. Rotarian Chetan Agarwal outlined the service activities conducted during the previous term.
According to Agarwal, the club organized numerous service projects including health camps for hypertension and diabetes screening with free medicine distribution, blood donation camps, tree-planting drives, the “Gift a Plant” campaign, installation of dead body chiller boxes, sanitary pad vending machines with free pad distribution, Nation Builder Awards, Happy School initiatives, and distribution of hygiene kits and stationery.
Leadership Vision for the Future
Newly elected Secretary Dr. Alok Kumar Agarwal, while presenting the upcoming action plan, stated that the club will strive to make its service activities more impactful and comprehensive in the coming year. He emphasized the importance of promoting a culture of charity and service spirit in society, noting that through participation of capable individuals, sustainable and effective projects for the needy can be initiated.
Newly elected President Anil Kumar Mittal expressed his goal to take social welfare work to new heights with the support of the entire team. He stated that Rotary Club’s purpose extends beyond merely running service projects—it aims to bring lasting positive change in society. He called upon all club members to work with team spirit.
Recognition of Distinguished Service
Rotarian Dr. Saurabh Singh highlighted Rotary’s core values and objectives, emphasizing that service, goodwill, and responsibility toward society form the heart of Rotary’s mission. Ms. Varsha Singh praised the club’s service initiatives, acknowledging the significant role Rotary plays in extending assistance to the needy.

Chief Guest Kirtivardhan Singh commended the service work of Rotary Club Gonda Green. He stated that we must remain connected to our roots, Indian culture, and social values. Moving forward while preserving our social heritage forms the foundation of true national progress.
Honors and New Initiatives
Rotarian Yogendra Agarwal, who has long contributed to social service, was specially honored. Dr. Pankaj Kumar Srivastav, founder of Jains Initiative and a senior cardiologist, was also recognized for his contributions to the club’s service activities, including free health check-ups, school health programs, health camps, and services to needy children across Gonda district.
Twelve new members were inducted into the club during the ceremony.
Bicycles for Girl Students
Continuing the tradition of service, the club distributed bicycles to five meritorious and needy girl students. The students’ faces lit up with joy upon receiving the bicycles. Additionally, the club provided financial assistance of 15,000 rupees to the district TB coordinator for treatment of tuberculosis patients and provision of nutritious food.

The event was attended by numerous Rotarians including Umesh Shah, Sanju Chabda, Dr. Anju Agarwal, Jyoti Mittal, Pooja Chabda, Mamta Agarwal, Gunjan Shah, Shagun Mittal, Ankita Tripathi, Rajeev Agarwal, Kamal Shah, Vimal Shah, Ajay Agarwal, and Ramlagan, among others.
Representatives from Rotary Club Bahraich, Rotary Club Balrampur, Rotary Club Balrampur Greater, Rotaract Club Gonda Green, and Interact Club SRPS Green, along with representatives from various other social organizations, also participated in the ceremony.
Gratitude Expressed
Rotarian Gopal Mittal concluded the event by expressing gratitude to all guests, office-bearers, members, and collaborators for their support and participation.
